The pharmaceutical industry is facing big challenges: According to the anti-forgery guidelines 2011/62/EU and the subordinate legislation (EU) No. 2016/161 a system to validate the authenticity of drugs to protect the patient from counterfeit drugs within the legal supply chain has to be established.
